Long overdue day at the beach. I needed some salty ocean wind and the sound of the waves that wasn't a recording.

It's warm enough at home to be annoying, but cold enough here I had to put on my Effin' Birds hoodie despite sitting in the sun. The hoodie features a pelican, so particularly well suited for today.

I pre-ordered it February of last year, and the print shops have been just an utter mess due to Covid, so production times are insane.

I love that it has a wire-o bind inside the hardcover, so it'll lay flat when I'm referencing the recipes. Like the other two #Poorcraft books it's packed with a lot of advice, and while not all of it will work out for you, some of it could. Not posted on https://ironcircus.com/ yet, but I'm sure it'll be available soon.

In better news, I popped into Michael's while out running errands earlier—I only planned to buy pop rocks, I swear—and found threader earring bases and some skull beads, so figured I could make myself a pair of piratey threaders.

I have two more sets of chains, and more beads, so I'll probably make another couple sets. There were two styles beads, the other has cross bones and is an antique brass or something, so I may grab a pack of the gold threader chains for those. We'll see.

Yay, after a detour into fussing over wacom and linux and gimp playing nice, I got a new #GlitchArt piece up in my INPRNT shop. You know you want a little friend to hang on your wall, right?
