Everyone has a dark side. For some people, it's even their good side.

Seriously though, I write stuff for fun so much that people started hiring me to do it on commission too. Resume edits? Blog articles? Scenario scripts? Kinky stuff? I'll write whatever I get paid to write.

Oh, and hit me up if you know a good place to host a variety of writing projects. My old one vanished on me a while ago and I've had to do direct handouts ever since, which is inconvenient for reaching wider audiences.

While I don't dislike kill counters as a concept, I feel that there's not enough information to look at beyond the counter itself.

I want to be able to inspect the weapon and get a complete list of everyone it's ever killed, how many times I killed them, the map(s) I killed them on, which class/character they were playing, and any special qualifiers (buffs, assists) that contributed to the kill.

And a bunch of sorting options for all of the above, natch.

I mentioned on a #writing board that sometimes I leave an unfinished project alone too long and end up coming back to it as a different person, and like five other people said they'd never felt more attacked. One of them was a #gamedev too.

You'd think that having to put in a team effort with your own past self wouldn't be a common problem, yet here we are.

#gaming wishlist: Someone needs to file the serial numbers off of Metal Gear Solid V and make a game that's about building a military organization from the ground up and participating in stealth-action missions around the globe. Keep the setting interesting by leaning into the military sci-fi and mild supernatural elements of the inspiration and I think you'd have something that'd be worth a lot of attention.

#gaming wishlist: A zombie survival game that plays less like Project Zomboid and more like Dead Rising.

Mix in the world-gen and enemy variety of Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead and I'd probably find myself hard-pressed to play anything else for the next few months.

Fond #gaming memory: I was watching someone else play #EldenRing and idly mentioned how the PvP scene was presently dominated by Rivers of Blood, then the streamer scoffed and said "that's old news; I'm gonna go into PvP and just spam the Rivers of Blood special attack over and over, watch me get destroyed."

He proceeded to kill the host player five times out of five attempts with that exact strategy and promptly ended the stream in embarrassment.

Still need to find a hosting website somewhere that's, uh, 'friendly' enough for me to host my for-free writings on. Most of the for-profit works I make are awkward to talk about openly and the sites they're on are not meant for the public at large, so I'd like a family-friendly space to point all the what-do-you-write people at instead.

Right now I just tell them I help people with their resumes. Which isn't a lie, but I don't get asked to do that as often as the other stuff.

The reviews for BG3 kinda make me wish I didn't hate D:OS2 as much as I did.

Credit where it's due, the fact that Larian's fighting the tide of underdeveloped, excessively-monetized bullshit when it comes to modern game development is commendable in its own right, but the pacing, writing, and characters were making me want to break things and hit people by Act 3. I don't even want to play CRPGs at all anymore.

Hope the rest of you are having fun, anyway. I'll be playing AC6.
