I live in Gloucestershire. I am interested in patient safety, especially suicide prevention and ending use of restraint in MH services. I know a bit about NHS-funded mental health system in England. I think QI is useful if it's voluntary and not so much if it's imposed as a training requirement.

I'm taking chemotherapy for colorectal cancer. (I'm happy to talk about my experience, just ask! Obviously no medical or treatment advice).

I'm taking a lot of medication! Some days I take 18 or so tablets.

I would have found a "paper based" dosette box - a schedule of what to take and when - really useful. Especially because some meds don't have to be taken everyday. I take capecitabine for 14 days then stop; I take dexa for 4 days & stop.

It's good that GMC recognise this, but blimey does he understand the fear that many doctors have of the GMC? The GMC is part of the environment that doctors cannot tolerate. #GMC #med #doctors #healthcare (I suck at hashtags!!)

This paper from 2020 (with data from 2017) about patient flow in London UK hospitals is interesting. There's lots of discussion in UK about social care, but it's clear that's only part of the picture. https://www.rcpe.ac.uk/sites/default/files/jrcpe_50_4_marinova.pdf

This colour chart uses examples from #nature to describe colours. It's a delightful way to read about colour. https://www.c82.net/werner/

Here's #Edgar #Nebraska . I've seen a few US buildings with masonic(?) symbols on them. Here's another one from #MtHope #WestVirginia
A thing I do when I'm feeling a bit rough is to go to Google Streetview and look at small towns in the US, and then imagine living there. Here are a few. #Ong #Nebraska Some of these buildings are charming.
