Die Vorstellung vom ewigen Leben hat nichts mit einer Sehnsucht nach Leben zu tun. Die Wahrheit ist, dass es tatsächlich keinen Tod gibt.

Wie aber kann es keinen Tod geben? Weil tatsächlich nur eine einzige Energie existiert, eine einzige allumfassende motivierende Kraft, die die Wurzel aller unserer Aktivitäten ist. Die Große Leere, der allem Leben gemeine Urgrund, ist bereits da, und unaufhörlich entsteht Leben in ihm. Wie könnte es also so etwas wie Leben und Tod geben?

Weil wir jedoch ein so starkes Begehren nach den Dingen verspüren, gehen wir in die Irre und beginnen, Leben und Tod zu trennen. Könnten wir sie aus diesem Raum der Stille und Ruhe betrachten, würden wir erkennen, dass es nie irgendein Leben oder irgendeinen Tod gegeben hat. Alles was existiert, ist diese eine kreisende, fließende Energie“.

I came across* the story about 50 parrots having been trained to shout the movie title "It Ain't No Sin" (all in vain: it was named differently for release**).

Had the team heard of Pattisons' parrots***? They gave 500 parrots to vendors that were trained to repeat slogans. The cost contributed to their economic downfall (and the collapse of the whisky market).
