@JorgeAD It was very elegantly put, and totally accurate.

A great review on how #Brexit is going by German TV channel DW (in English). It covers most of the main topics (immigration, trade, and fishing), and interviews many of the important players (include those behind the scenes).

The videoโ€™s comments section is also a good read, and worth the extra time.

Amazing that even on a quiet Friday morning, it's still quicker to #walk from #Bristol Temple Meads railway station to the top of Park Street than it is to take a number 1 or number 2 #bus. ๐Ÿข๐Ÿ‡ / ๐Ÿšถ๐ŸšŒ
Many Brits today are celebrating #IndependenceDay from the USA. It was always a troublesome colony.

If Crunchyroll keep using #ChatGPT for subtitles, parent company Sony is going to get very annoyed when the fansub groups rise again (not necessarily a bad thing).

Crunchyroll's lazy AI subtitles have anime fans furious

@LillyHerself It's a shame they don't appear to support Mastodon though. Buffer.com does, and is widely used as an alternative to Orlo and Hootsuite (former University favourite).
It's a bit noisy, but our air-conditioning is out of action, so we don't have a choice. Don't ask how the server room is...

@snoozy The BBC needs to bring back its computer literacy courses. The number of younger adults who donโ€™t know they should to put data into a table in Excel is shocking. ๐Ÿ“Š๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป

@snoozy At my rural school, we were taught the basics of a computers, including the internals (RAM, CPU, North and South bridges, IO, etc), OS components (the difference between a WIMP and a cursor), and how to use a spreadsheet program correctly. Our class was on the internet before the Web even existed.

I donโ€™t think any of that is taught these days. Kids are just expected to know it intuitively.
