We released version 0.9.0 of Teamtype, continuing the versioning sequence from before.
We also have features and small improvements coming along with this:
- This version includes the `--sync-vcs` flag, an experiment for smooth Git integration. We invite you to try it and give us feedback!
- When updating a number of files, we now trigger synchronization only for what really changed.
- The follow-mode in Neovim was improved.

While #chatcontrol poses an existential threat to the Freiburg merlinux GmbH and distributing #deltachat apps from within the EU to all stores worldwide, it would resist any chatcontrol legislation up to the German constitutional and EuGH courts.
If the EU based company would need to fold in a few years, there would likely be forks distributed outside the EU that will *seamlessly* continue to function. Our architecture and FOSS licensing makes sure of it. See also https://chaos.social/@delta/113417740762852318
Preventing enshittificatiom with the "Ulysses pact" from @[email protected] https://pluralistic.net/2024/11/02/ulysses-pact/#tie-yourself-to-a-federated-mast We consider our efforts aligned: #deltachat #chatmail and #webxdc implement "right to exit" on all levels of our decentralized messaging project. - deploy your own servers permission free and interoperable with all e-mail servers ("federation mast") - all apps and libraries and server components are 100% Foss - interactive chat-shared web-apps can be used in other messengers #righttoexit
Broken links aside (fix incoming), #FDroid raises the case against the #Google developer forced registration once again.
We'll skip the small talk, go read, and better yet, spread this wide and far: https://f-droid.org/2025/09/29/google-developer-registration-decree.html so people are made aware, actions can be taken and #Android is kept truly open!
Happy to announce v0.7.0 of Ethersync, our collaborative editing system for your text editor! ✨
We built a convenient way to make peer-to-peer connections, based on @magicwormhole and @n0iroh: One person runs
ethersync share
and the other one runs a command like
ethersync join 5-hamburger-endorse
After that, the directories are synced in real-time, you can open the files in Neovim or VS Code, and start pair programming!

From David 4X1DG on the other site:

🎉 Today we're bringing 3D print hosting into the Fediverse! 🎉
Have you wanted to escape the walled gardens of Printables, Makerworld and Thingiverse, and host your 3D content somewhere more open?
Now you can, with our official public Manyfold instance, 3dprint.social!
➡️ Sign up now, at https://3dprint.social
❤️ And if you can, please support the project at https://opencollective.com/manyfold
Finally had the time to take some of the topics from my blog post about design for #3Dprinting and make them into a proper #FreeCAD addon!
You can download "FusedFilamentDesign" from the FreeCAD addon manager.
Also check it out here: https://github.com/rahix/FusedFilamentDesign
(This addon also integrates the macros I mentioned here a few weeks ago)
I am gobsmacked by the unexpected good news just shared by @rebble: Google released the #PebbleOS code as #FreeSoftware (Apache license), #Rebble obtained the source code for Snowy, #EricMigicovsky is planning to produce a new #PebbleWatch, and the Rebble team is planning another #Hackathon. Just wow. Thank you, @ishotjr, @Katharine (and all others not easily reachable via the fediverse).
