@NervousHair I wish I had that Prince Andrew disease that actually, totally prevented him from sweating.
I have recording sessions that can go for a few hours, so sweat defense is a necessity. Opening my office door to let some AC in afterwards is like tasting ice cream for the first time.
If anyone needs #voiceover on the cheap, you're in luck! I have a decade of experience, but I'm just now dipping my toes into Fiverr.
I need reviews to get established on that platform, so I've discounted my rates in a big way.
These prices will only apply to the first few orders I get, so come get professional VO cheap as dirt while it lasts!
@mattswift Usable is all I need!
I figure all of the fediverse servers are gonna have a rough couple of weeks. Two massive platforms collapsing, at least partially, at the same time is unprecedented, afaik.
Hopefully that clues people in and we can get those niche communities going, but I don't mind a slower pace.
Less noise, more intention, and a network that's much harder to ruin. Let's goooooo!
@mattswift I mostly quit Twitter when they got rid of third-party apps, and I'm about to do the same with reddit (though Relay, the app I've been using for years, still works for now somehow).
Open APIs built the internet. There's no going back.
How is Lemmy? Now that I've dipped a toe in the fediverse, I'll probably give it a go.
Hi! I'm Connor, and this is my #introduction.
I'm a professional voice-over artist with a decade of experience.
I'm also a musician (latest project - https://open.spotify.com/artist/5Arhcf0sQpk1z2KL0kqNjv?si=9FQyqVUGTkmsifcD9R4XMA)
I love making things. It's been a big part of my life since my dad brought home a giant VHS video camera and I pieced together some LEGO stop-motion.
I'm into #tech, #videogames, #music, #books, and those cute mini muffins (chocolate chip is my jam)
@mattswift Ha! Beat you to it.
I'm impressed it's as polished as it is, and the open nature of it is more than enough motivation to actually get into it.
I got a desktop app (Fedistar) that seems to simplify things a bit more, as far as interacting with other servers. I remember when I could have third-party Twitter apps.
