@shoq I'm excited for the future of decentralized systems like this. The collapse of twt seems like a forgone conclusion, and it will be interesting to see where all that time, attention and energy goes.

@shoq I didn't use twt that much to begin with but one thing it had going for it was immediacy. You create your account and the algo and suggestions get you engaged right away. Not necessarily in a good way which is why I like Mastodon, but for many ordinary users, I think the exception is the immediate delivery of entertainment.

A quick reminder that law enforcement *responds* to crime, but a living wage, food and water security, accessible healthcare, and public education *prevent* crime.

If you want safer communities, invest in people, not punishments.

@MicheleV_AK are they usally so unconcerned with humans? As a city person, I had always assumed wildlife was "more afraid of you than you of them" but this didn't seem that way at all. At all.
