Christmas Fayre. Current Y6 smashing the Enterprise Games. Parents of younger children complimenting them on how well they explained the games and how kind they were. ❤ Then visited by about 8 past pupils with a couple of their friends. Tables were stacked so one asked 'Can we Just Dance like we used to?' Cue the classroom full of teenagers dancing to Ghostbusters and One Direction! 💃🕺

Dark, cold mornings make the shift from a relaxing weekend to the start of the working week more challenging. I crave quietness and get into school early, it then gets more and more peopley! I’ve learnt ( mostly) not to be buffeted by others’ drama/gossip/negativity and save my energy for my people if that makes sense.On the days I’m feeling low, I focus in even more on the pupils. I may be their best part of the day, their first smile and friendly word. They are my reason for being there.

We are the algorithm : lets build a community we all need.

It’s a plan, not a script.
Tucker TeagueIf you enjoy someone's post on #Mastodon go ahead and click the star. If someone tells you that's meaningless because there's no #algorithm, ignore them. Sure, boost the post too if you want others to also see the post, but don't think telling someone you like what they posted is somehow unimportant. In real life I don't tell someone, "good job," or "well said," or "I love that," for the sake of some algorithm, I do it because I'm human and they are too. It's fundamental to being truly social.
