Am continuing to read this really good webcomic called Rain, it’s a highschool drama kind of thing with a trans girl as a main character and a very queer cast, set in a very conservative catholic school, and it definitely is very heavy at times (there’s lots of depictions and discussion of things like transphobia, dysphoria, homophobia, abusive parents, abusive relationships, ect) but omg it’s so good. I love how much depth the characters and their relationships have, and how throughout this incredibly long webcomic (it was started in the early 2010s after all, but is all set in one year) you can see the characters grow so much. I’ve recently reached a pretty happy chapter where not much new bad stuff is happening and a lot of (but definitely not all) bad stuff has been resolved, and the characters are having a party at the house of a queer family member of one of the characters, and it’s just this bunch of really well written queer characters and a few (maybe just one) also incredibly well written very good nonqueer characters who truly deserve to be called allies, just having fun in a sort of safe space, and it makes me so happy to see them thrive
