@nateraymond A good start/possible deterrent. Judges might pause before they decide a case, if one of their rulings might question their independence and/or integrity. Still, SC Justices don't have to recuse themselves if any appearance of independence exists. Case in point - the dishonorable SC Justice Thomas.
