The Demographic Makeup of the Country’s Voters Continues to Shift

Ron Brownstein has a nice deep-dive into demographic changes affecting America’s electorate, building upon my post about how the 2022 electorate was the most educated in American history. There are two big societal trends slowly making their imprint on American politics. The first is the increasing diversity of the county. The second is the increasing education of the county. The confluence of these two forces are shrinking the share of the non-college-educated White population, an important piece of the Republican coalition.
