Every $1,300 New York City invested in building bike lanes in 2015 provided benefits equivalent to one additional year of life at full health over the lifetime of all city residents, according to a new economic assessment.

✔️ I want fast passenger rail so accessible and easy it's preferable to suffering airports.

✔️ I want cities that aren't built around cars-as-default

I'm putting together a collection of Mac System 7 (and probably Windows 9x/DOS) stuff on a classic Mac-based FTP server.
This is to help me (and hopefully others) with the chicken-egg issue of trying to get old Mac software onto vintage machines without an existing Stuffit installation etc.
Later today I'll add a "start.img" floppy image you can write using DD and it should "just work"

The original SimCity has a cool icon. It seems totally natural and logical when you look at it — a minimalistic silhouette of a city — but it couldn't have been easy translating all of that into 32x32 pixels while taking care to ensure there's something representative of all the game's key elements: residential, commercial, and industrial zones, plus the ever-present helicopter. #macicons
