@SlowRain The trend for television in general lately seems to be darker and "grittier" shows, sometimes to their detriment, I think. And slick filming isn't going to matter if it's not a good story. I'm not sure what you mean by no uniforms, they seemed to be wearing them in the trailer? Maybe I'm just misunderstanding.
Maybe there'll be a stream or two you can catch to see them.
@SlowRain I'm not the world's biggest Star Trek fan - my knowledge only extends as far as TNG and Voyager - but I just watched the trailer thanks to your link and I'm actually very excited. Maybe it's the female leads. I did get the same Star Wars vibe that you got, but that was probably just the desert planet shot.

@spridlewv Thanks Michael, I appreciate it :) I really do like the church and the priest, I think I'll continue going. It's nice to have a regular church home where I can feel welcome.
@Kaos1211 Unlike a lot of people on Mastodon apparently, I actually like Google. :P
Meeting with the priest lasted an hour and a half. It was one of the most intelligent, informative, gratifying experiences I think I've had, with any church.
The Episcopal and United Methodists churches have released a proposal for full communion with each other. This makes me VERY happy.
