@sinvega always thought of the immediately forgetting what i was upset about thing was some kind of terrible defense mechanism but yeah i can see how that could be it

Can we just talk about how tiny these #fungi growing in the #moss are?

I'm not sure WHAT they are beyond one of the parachute mushrooms (in the genus Marasmius? M. capillaris? Perhaps? ), but I love them.

A little insight on how #comics are made!
Here you can see the our process of coloring a triple cover.

First the (traditionally made) inks have to be scanned & cleaned up, then the file has to be prepared for #coloring.

The flat #colors are done on a separate layer and sometimes being split up in foreground / middle ground / background.

After that the #artist or colorist then adjusts the colors to what they need and starts with rendering.

Art by Nic Klein , flat colors by me.

@vicorva Sometimes the oven turns off when the alarm turns off, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it won't start unless it's on? Sometimes i just need to mash the buttons a bit until something works or no oven for the day. I guess I understand it enough, if that counts?
Might I offer you a tiny spider flower on this dreary November morning?

So, little story. Years ago, I was stuck in a low. Just a big slump in confidence and self-image. Then one day I found this tiny notebook on sale somewhere. This was back when I lived in Tokyo, and I was out with some friends somewhere. I thought it was adorable and it was only a couple of hundred yen so I thought, why not? Tiny cute things make me happy.

The little Chinese coin, I added later It just seemed to fit. But I wasn't quite sure what to do with it at first. Then I had an idea.

Here's some wild animals I found hiding out by an abandoned building near the hospital. Seemed happy to see me, but I didn't really want to get any closer than this.

For #blackcatsaturday here's an old pair of pieces I did of Iceland's Jólakötturinn.

Jólakötturinn (the Yule Cat) is a giant cat that is said to eat you if you don't get any new clothes by Christmas.

It's about punishing slow wool-work, but I like to imagine that the Yule Cat is benevolent to those who can't make or don't have access to new warm clothes.
