SecOps Director named Christopher Ward (he/him)

In one interpretation, my name means "Jovial Protector", and that suits me just fine.

Most of what I do is covered under FriendDAs, so bring beer if you want to talk shop. #Blueteam

Into stuff like: Home Theater, PC Gaming, TTRPGs, and giving away beer <stouts & porters mostly> at cons.
#BlueTeamCon, #Thotcon, #PancakesCon #Defcon #CircleCityCon (damn COVID).

@krypt3ia Close, but I'm jealous of all that hair.
@krypt3ia "But of course!", I say as I spread my Grey Poupon.
The heist is a go.
@cR0w @munin Embarrassingly, I lived this arc over the last 20+ years. 🫣

@mttaggart Most of it was long ago.

1. Seeing VGA graphics for the first time.
2. An audio component rack where the CD player undocked to be used portably.
3. Sony digital camera that took floppies.
4. The Sharp Zaurus and Motorola Timeport.
5. Netbooks (where did they go? 😭 )
6. GPS directions.
7. Mini-split heat pumps
8. NUCs/Mac Minis
9. Plug in Hybrid Electric vehicles.
10. Laser projectors

Interesting example of what seems to be a savvy user trying to determine if they were on a scammer deepfake video call.

@wendynather My sample size is small, but I think that's normal. Friends and I did that with Dr. Sbaitso.

Dr. Sbaitso

@jswatz_tx This makes me wonder if he believes he was personally spurned by equality and is conflating it with equity.

I had observed a special promotion process in the 1990s where the guidance was to equally split available slots on sex. There were 24 male applicants and 2 female applicants competing for 2 early promotion slots and one was awarded to the top representative of each sex. The numbers were different with each round but the ratios were similar because it was a dirty maintenance career field most often chosen by males.

I guess I'm just trying to figure out this guy's villain arc and why he's broken the way he is.

@krypt3ia Agreed this was good. "Gritty" is thrown around a lot in movie reviews, but it seems apt here.
@krypt3ia It's almost as if when you triple DoD spending over 25 years, but steadily redirect funds to contractors while reducing money for training, TDYs, and QoL stuff, people realize there aren't enough enjoyable bits to be worth it anymore.
