Im proud of the last 10 years of my life, being dedicated to running a conference that didn't raise its ticket price, provided well discounted rates for students, free trainings, villages and much more.

I learned so much and my life was transformed being exposed to a great diversity of people. A community enveloped me and took me in with patience and excitement.

Ive had to learn organizational, leadership, presentation, budgeting, legal, and many other skills especially as i moved up in the org.

Most of all i learned to find myself in this community. I didnt have to act like a "grownup" as i had all through childhood and could be carefree. I learned greater empathy and understanding for all kinds of people.

Ive had great mentors and have mentored amazing people over 10 years and those relationships do not end. This conference is complete, but the mission will carry on with all who have come to love this community and can take and spread that in their surrounding areas.

Go start an event. Go give talks. Go build training on something you think can help people. Go support those who do the same. Go stand against toxicity and make sure your community is inclusive and thoughtful of others.

But most of all keep learning, caring, and giving back.
