If COVID-19 was a brand of cigarette it would be banned. Instead the Australian government is letting it it rip.

How do we expect vast numbers of clinically vulnerable people to function in a society that has decided to make no effort to avoid exposing everyone to SARS-2 repeatedly?

Even as it adds to the sick list?

Hide or die?

Very few of us are permanently β€˜healthy’.

Aeroplane. Left: coughing, seat upright. Right: reclining. The reclining position dramatically increases the scatter of aerosol to neighbouring seats. This is with the HEPA filtration of the aircraft fully operational after takeoff.

In 2022 Australia had over 15,000 deaths from Covid.
We've had 1,059 Covid deaths in just the first 3 weeks of 2023.
That's an annualised total of almost 18,500 deaths for 2023.
Doesn't take into account new, perhaps more lethal, variants.
Huge public health & education failure!!

One way to think about covid is your average infections per year.

After 3 years, most people have caught it once; averaging 0.33 /yr.

But they plan to live another 60 years.

This implies they think their body can endure 20 rounds with covid.

Spoiler alert: it can’t

I didn't know what airborne was for first 2 months of 2020. I just knew my employers failed to tell me we have people coming in from Wuhan. So I searched for better protection.
