What other titles do you think SHOULD HAVE been on Bowie’s book list?

We’re making a list of books we think could have made the list or books we wished had been on the list.
We'll be randomly selecting from this list for the second season of the #BowieBookClub Podcast.

@ChrisCPS @bookstodon we enjoyed it so much! I especially love the relationship between the two prisoners who talk through the wall-so different and yet brought together by dismal circumstances.

This month on #BowieBookClub we read ‘Darkness at Noon’ by Arthur Koestler, a tale of human pyschology under duress that makes a fitting conclusion to the Russian books that Bowie included on his reading list.

We also reveal the order of the last four books (!!!) and talk ask you what else we should add to the list of books that SHOUD HAVE been on Bowie’s list.

This month on the #BowieBookClub we read ‘Writers at Work: The First Series,’ a compendium of interviews with writers that proves to be as dazzling as a round of George Plimpton's Video Falconry, which we discussed along with elaborate CIA fronts and the burning question: writing while sitting or laying down, which is better? Tea or coffee?

The #TrumanCapote interview in our #BowieBookClub pick, “Writers at Work,” is an indulgent romp: “I intend to have footloose escapades as long as the frontiers stay open,” says the boy genius.
He comes across much more likable than #Faulkner does earlier in the collection.
