Husk and Rind's debut EP dropped at the right moment. It's the time of the year when the weather puts me in the mood for the more uplifting kind of doom and heavy rock.

Or not just uplifting, the 4 tracks have this melancholic undertone that I love so much in music, not dissimilar to bands like Alice in Chains, Dinosaur Jr. or newly discovered Blackwater Holylight. The guitar sound is just perfect, too.

I think I've listened to this like 6 times the past two days.

„Als die Grünen so viele Stimmen hatten wie die AfD jetzt und vor der Union lagen, hat sich ein signifikanter Teil der Medienlandschaft zusammengetan, um sie mit Desinformation & Schmutzkampagnen zu vernichten - und hat sie erfolgreich halbiert. Entlarvend, dass das jetzt mit der AfD nicht passiert.“ *Volksverpetzer #Habeck

Hey everyone, before this week’s edition of #FletchsFridayReleases I want to shout out a new release from a cool fedi artist. @harriolkn and their band Husk and Rind release their debut EP today and it’s a great blend of stoner and grunge. Check it out and show them some love if you dig it.

The NASA buzz made me want to watch "For All Mankind", but the show fully delivers on its own merit.

The season 1 finale was spectacular. It's not often that science fiction focuses on characters, but it's really more about the emotions than it is about the space race. Phenomenal cast, too.

Today I came across this reasonable assumption (Ralph Wedgwood):
"I very much doubt whether anyone alive today is entitled to any great degree of confidence in the correctness of any theory that attempts to answer any of the larger questions of philosophy."

Maybe you should applaud intellectual honesty, but it really reads like fatalism. In the past the discipline strived for guidance in life, today academia seems to wonder if the discipline was the right choice for their life.

On today's #Caturday Franz started his journey to linguistic proficiency.

“I've always tried to present a positive view of the world in my work. It's so much easier to be negative & cynical & predict doom for the world than it is to try & figure out how to make things better. We have an obligation to do the latter."

Oh no, they replaced Commander Sinclair!
