I took a picture for #bandshirtfriday but forgot to post it. More people should know about Grendel's Syster.
If you enjoy metal of the epic heavy or doom variety, I think there is a chance that you might like it (a lot).

New record (and a patch) came in the mail today. Now isn't that a beauty!
#CurrentlyReading (or re-reading) Mary Beard's "SPQR". The author has such talent to bring historic events to life, it's most delightful.
Franz taking a rest, after the hard work of giving the new chair a vintage look.
#CurrentlyReading a biography on Paul the Apostle by N.T. Wright.
You not only learn about Jewish life and customs in the ancient, Rome-dominated world (which is already quite interesting). The author takes serious the Bible as source for its subject's life and ministry.
Even if it's only an exercise in "what if", it would be a fascinating fiction on the man whose philosophy changed the world like only few people did.
Not sure if I should be excited about Lunar Aurora live shows, because in my mind they were never really a live band in the first place. But very good reminder to listen to the band more often again.
I also saw that last year Aran of Lunar Aurora and Thomas Helm of Empyrium released an album together (under the Sun After Dark moniker). They were my two favorite bands in my late teens/early 20s, I think for that reason alone I should check it out.
Real food, please?
Currently listening to Backxwash's "Only Dust Remains" (2025).
Not quite as visceral as earlier releases, but this is still more intense than most extreme metal. "History of Violence" blew me away.
