Put together a box of ornaments for each grandchild with the ones they made when they were little and a few my mother made. They help me decorate my #Christmas tree now and will inherit them one day.
My takeaways from night #2 of the #DNC: (1) #Emhoff' gave the most important speech of the night. He did a great job humanizing his spouse VP #HarrisWalz (2) The rockin' roll call and the visual created by linking to the Milwaukee rally continues to build the image of a joyous movement that goes well beyond the United Center and invites people to join in. (3) Presidents Biden and Obama are now the speakers at the afterparty for the faithful - not in primetime. #harris2024

Day 1 of #2024CHA. Connecting with great colleagues like @michaelmillerjr in San Diego. Today presenting on prepping our hospitals to keep our immigrant patients safe and cared for should we face new hostilities post election. #medmastodon
There's an article in today's WaPo about ditching cartridge razors in favor of the old fashioned safety razor. You avoid unnecessary plastic use for the environment. But, it makes the recycling of the blades sound cumbersome. If you made this switch, what do you do with the blades? Thanks in advance for any insights.
Glad the US Congress has finally stepped up and done its job. #WeStandWithOurStudents #StandWithUkraine
Since the return of in-person learning at the Stritch School of Medicine, I have gone back to using colored construction paper as the audience response device when I teach medical students. It's extremely efficient and fun since the students can see each others' answers and have to consider whether to conform their answer or not. And, the #Zoom polling function has made all in-class audience response systems seem too cumbersome. So, I went back to basics and the students love it.
Great to have Ken Goodman visit us to talk about ethical issues arising from the use of #AI in healthcare and biomedical research. Ken is incredibly insightful and delivers his messages with passion. And we got a bit nostalgic about our old days in Pittsburgh when we were just getting started in academia and #bioethics
Ran up the 94 floors of the Hancock building in Chicago with some @LoyolaBioethics colleagues in support of respiratory health. An absolutely exhilarating experience!
