@billyjoebowers As someone who likes meat, and whose partner is vegetarian:
There is some fake meat out there that does a decent job of mimicking the real thing. But a lot of it falls into a sort of uncanny valley where it tastes just enough like meat, but with something off either in flavor or texture, so my brain interprets it as rancid or spoiled in some way.
The best vegan meals I have had don't try to pretend to be things they aren't.

Impossible burger meat is basically identical though.
