❓ rERPs, mass univariate models & deconvolution!

If you are interested in combined #EEG / #EyeTracking, in natural experiments, sequential sampling models + EEG (e.g. DriftDiffusion), #VR+EEG, - this could be a useful workshop for you!

#EEG #linearmodels #statistics
#julialang

Organized with Romy Frömer (CHBH)
and the S-CCS lab (@uni_stuttgart)

What is Russia's plan for victory?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhpoNL1gZbw

> What they want is political control over Ukraine

...and not territorial gain. I thought this was quite insightful!

At the end he speaks about what could happen on 20th January - quite interesting

"The modern regression toolkit" - I recently gave two talks (15' at #cuttingeegX and 50' in Gießen).

You can find my slides on my blog, the video of cuttingeeg will hopefully land on youtube in the near future.

I recently posted a demo how to combine plots in Julia with typst (latex is also possible). I now wrote a blogpost on it:

There is still time to register for #cuttingeegX "Evolutions in MEEG research practices" - it's at first an online, then a hybrid conference. If you are interested what new methodological developments in #EEG are happening, be sure to register!

I'd never expected that it would be actually easy to programmatically generate a vector-plot like this: combining #typst / #latex with actual data plotting

Edit: I had a small mistake in coloring

Edit2: pluto-gist for simplified plot: https://gist.github.com/behinger/f279ade01879de3dd0e48dddda6d505e - see response for more details

❗ New paper with Romy Frömer et al. on #EEG & decision processes

Unfortunately, we found severe overlap confounds - after a https://github.com/unfoldtoolbox/unfold.jl/ overlap-correction, not much evidence for evidence accumulation remained (confirmed in 4 other datasets).

So if you are interested in evidence integration, be warned, don't just rely on the ramping up effect!

Took a while to publish, 61 pages of peer-review for 10 pages of article ;-)

@stuttgart Rekord?

New Unfold animations!

Made with #Makie in #Julia and #Unfold.jl

They show simulated #EEG / ERP data of overlapping events (e.g. eye movements) and linear/non-linear modelling of continuous ERP effects (e.g. stimulus-contrast, saccade amplitude etc.)

thanks a ton to the awesome Makie-Team making such animations super easy :)
