@SpectralMoose ah, yeah. i mean, tcgs are in a very weird spot currently. and i won't invest more into Altered until it stabilizes and re:union holds to their promises. so for the time being i'm just keeping up with my ashes ascendancy collection since its an lcg that plays like a tcg and their model is very long-term and robust. i have been considering getting into sorcery since they release one box a year and one of the main designers is a local, but i haven't pulled the trigger yet.

@SpectralMoose but they didn't start until after Equinox had already dumped asmodee to try and distribute the game by themselves. so its been awful timing all around.

but to be fair, asmodee has been mismanaged for almost 10 years now and things are consistently getting worse the better pokemon and magic is doing lol. they just refuse to take responsibility of their other licenses because its easy billion-dollar money to do pokemon and magic due to scalpers fucking the prices and demand.

@SpectralMoose it's pretty crazy how mismanaged asmodee is. they said they were moving to a new location starting february. that's been done already. no games have shipped since february though. and their distributor website has been offline for 2 weeks now. the only thing that they are shipping is pokemon and magic, and its keeping the company profitable. but ticket to ride. carcassonne, etc. are all currently "dead". due to this, spielbraet is taking over a lot of their titles now, but

@SpectralMoose Nah, it "died" because asmodee is collapsing and they were licensed to distribute it but failed to do so (among the thousands of other titles they are failing currently, no shipments of any game for 4 months). The company itself resigned the game to Re:union, and two more sets are going to be released and distributed to LGSs hopefully later this year as a LCG. Or that's the plan anyway. The online version of the game is still on BGA and all cards are now available for players.

first time in years i went to the cinema, but i couldn't not watch another work by #AndyWeir. been reading his stuff on his old html site since the day he posted #TheEgg on 4chan all those years ago. I was so excited when he more or less accidentally blew up with #TheMartian because people couldn't figure out how to download a free .epub and so he published it at the lowest possible allowed price on Amazon.

anyway, the #ProjectHailMary movie was great! Only complaint is the "cutify" of Rocky...

Every morning for half a year now. I spend an hour at a store (#Biltema) near my work, drinking coffee. And every morning, the cleaning guy tells me I can't sit down (except mornings he's sick), because he hasn't cleaned the floors of the cafeteria yet, which he does one hour later...

Well, not to be that guy. I mean, not to be spiteful and happy someone lost their job, but, I definitely am ready to welcome our new #dalek overlords exterminating the floor dirt.
