@BeingCharisBlog started a thread on birdsite recently inviting disabled people experiencing food insecurity to drop donation links and wish lists in the replies, as well as encouraging those able to to donate.

As a result, I received donations that helped me buy a large bag of food for Gravy, and I straight up cried over it. The last food I tried him on, he was allergic to, so being able to buy something I know works for him gives me so much relief.

Haha "impoverisher"

Hi again from your neighborhood trans queer autistic disabled cat theydy impoverisher gardener.

I will be more active here when I realize Twitter is truly gone, so please be patient with me because I'm not yet fully engaging with folks or doing a bunch of following like I plan to.

My name is Imani Barbarin, but you may know me as crutches and spice…

Major corporate virtual speaking talk today! So nervous and excited!

I’m doing it without slides, which I love. Just someone firing questions at me about how to be a better advocate to disabled people.

I made slides to store the resource links. After sound check I’ll pop them up somewhere and hashtag them #EverywhereAccessible - that’s my foundation’s hashtag.

The main thing I’ve learned about #gardening over the years is this: that thing you just planted that you don’t need to label because it’s obvious what it is/will be? LABEL IT.

I haven't used hashtags regularly as a necessary medium in so long.

I'm just gonna share a bunch on topics that interest me or communities I'm part of to find cool folks here.

@Tinu @Ask_aubry Tinu, you give me info on chronic illness. You hold space for people who are sick while you are sick as well. You have hosted spaces on the birdapp where I was listening to so many people with so many diverse places in life. And voices that help me get through some really, really bad days. Including yours. So thank you.
Um, hi everyone.
