Just four days later, Westminster said NO.

That’s the reality of Westminster rule, even when the same party governs in both London and Wales. Westminster always knows best!

@slyflourish Well, yes, you can do that. It would make combat in any D&D-like game enormously swingy. One successful roll on the part of ten orcs combined with max damage wipes out the whole party... Pooling gives speed, and speedy bloodbaths.

I don't believe that the end of the United Kingdom and the establishment of an independent Cymru will solve all of our problems,, but I allow myself to support this interim goal on the road to Utopia because it will be bloody brilliant - Cymru is a country. Independence is normal.

I have Vaesen and the British Isles and Ireland expansion. They are lovely books and the rules are very light - although not quite as light as I prefer these days. I have a bit of a problem with the tightly formulaic game structure, not so much with a faux 19th Century..after all it isn't our 19th Century.
I stole every creature from the Britain & Ireland book and used them as my monster manual for a "fairy tale" fantasy campaign.

@Flamekebab And the HMRC! Because they're clearly no good at maths - or answering phones - they owed me £50 or so..and they sent me a cheque! Useless bastards.
I suspect they figure that if they send out cheques a proportion of them will never be paid in.
