#Goodmorning from Fisksätra. Today's deskwork, nap, then cycle 15 km to gamemaster Vaesen. What are you up to?
I thought you disliked Vaesen

@panoptikontraband.eu The writing and the many small historical mistakes drive me nuts in the sections of the Vaesen books that deal with the setting. Particularly when the team tries to write in the voice of someone who lives in the 19th century. But it's a good game and we're having fun with it.

I believe the team has watched a lot of Hammer horror movies from the 1960s but not read much (any?) Swedish 19th century horror fiction.

I have Vaesen and the British Isles and Ireland expansion. They are lovely books and the rules are very light - although not quite as light as I prefer these days. I have a bit of a problem with the tightly formulaic game structure, not so much with a faux 19th Century..after all it isn't our 19th Century.
I stole every creature from the Britain & Ireland book and used them as my monster manual for a "fairy tale" fantasy campaign.
@BeachofBones I've been trying and failing to find out what a UK/Irish history buff thinks about the Britain and Ireland book's writing.
@mrundkvist
I can tell you what I like very much is that it does not treat these islands as one country, but several.
