I am a proofreader at National Braille Press. I am technically a pescatarian, but most of the food I eat is actually vegan. I like a very wide variety of music, and I love to dance. I also like to read (mostly fiction), but I probably don't read as much as some because I have to read for work.
@NicksWorld I didn't like amusement parks or carnivals for a very long time because I was forced to go on rides I wasn't quite ready for in preschool. I was afraid of fast rides until a Girl Scout trip to Bush Gardens in Virginia when I was between a freshman and a sophomore in high school. Before that, the merry-go-round was about my speed at a carnival or amusement park. I'm still not a daredevil, and I haven't been to either in quite a while, but I enjoy rides much more than I did as a kid. No water rides for me, though.
Walked into a Panera Bread restaurant today with my people. While navigating to the counter, I found a table with an iPad for ordering. Below the device was a sign in Braille, that I came upon completely by accident! It said: "Welcome! To launch VoiceOver, (headphones at register), insert headphones into jack and double-tap screen with 3 fingers". There's not enough Braille signage in the world, so this one was certainly, a "welcome" discovery!
@CStamp @NicksWorld I'm very willing to try new foods as long as there are no meat or cheese products involved. Seafood is fine, though.

I'm talking to you from the Norwegian getaways cruise line.
We've already been for Rhode Island and Boston today we are in Maine and tomorrow and Friday will be in Canada before coming back to New York on Sunday and then flying home.
Just wanted to do a real quick post talking about Accessibility on Norwegian.
It's basically pretty good. They do give you if you ask for them email copies of the newspaper and the menus each day.
They're also very readable almond Norwegian app.
The one aspect of accessibility that is not good at the moment is on the television because none of the menu you speak.
There's no way they can fix that at the moment and I don't know how much time it will take them to eventually getting around to putting in the proper hardware and software to make that work.
Princess Cruises has figured it out and televisions worked great when we were on that ship we had to have someone from the Tek department enable something but once he did that everything spoke properly.
I can't wait to get my ally solo classes in order to move around the ship outside of help.
At the moment that's really difficult on a cruise ship to move around not only on the ship but offshore with excursions without any side of Assistance.
Hopefully, we'll have more information about that as future cruises come about with the ally, solo classes and echo vision, people can talk about that one and Meta as well.

@alexhall Oh, I would be interested in holding one, too, to get a better idea of what it's like, since it's different from any other iPhone.
@gocu54 I'm not planning to upgrade this year either, but I like to watch the Apple events too. I just wish they would spend a little less time on the cameras. I haven't watched this event yet, but I'm guessing it's no different in that area.
@alexhall What?! I haven't watched the Apple event yet, but based on your description, the "thin" iPhone Air actually sounds pretty clunky.

@DavidGoldfield I think it's ridiculous that any smart glasses made for us wouldn't have access to Be My Eyes and AIRA. Of course Envision wants people to just use their tools, but Be My Eyes and AIRA provide crucial services that Envision simply doesn't. The EchoVision glasses by Agiga will have access to both of these services at launch, so why can't the Ally Solos offer that?
