@Gommster You must know how the TC Harrison song goes too.

@Gommster Hah, I remember that!

I knew exactly how he would.sound before he spoke, despite not having seen that and for going on 30 years.

Here's the original concept that I threw together with a lot of hasty cut-and-pasting.

#CoverReveal time!

Here's the finished cover for the new edition of Bait (and bonus story). All the art is by me (inked in pencil and fineline pens, coloured in Photoshop).

It'll be on Amazon in the Spring in Kindle and paperback formats.

I'd love to know what you think.

You can read a bit more about the inspiration behind the design and the style on my newsletter.

@Concretism Gmail is a horrible interface. our company uses it and every day it makes me wish for the good old days of Outlook.

Here's a wee smidge of the cover for my next project - an expanded paperback version of my novella Bait (previously only given in eBook format to anyone who preordered Tales From Badger Crossing).

Coming to Amazon this Spring.

Visit my newsletter for the full cover: https://badgerscrossing.substack.com/p/letters-from-badgers-crossing-5

The cover (which I've drawn and painted myself) homages 70s/80s horror/adventure comics like 2000AD, Misty, Scream, Jinty et al, and artists such as Jose Ortiz, Jesus Redondo, Phil Gascoine, Eric Bradbury.

Been a while since I used this site - has everyone run off and hidden in my absence?

And if you've already got a copy, I'd be grateful of a review on Amazon or Goodreads (links in the thread below).

Every review, whether you loved it, disliked it or thought it was just okay is hugely appreciated and is always helpful in understanding how I can improve next time.

Mrs C is selling knitted wares at a craft fair in our apartment's residents lounge, and I've hijacked her stall to see if I can shift signed copies of TFBC.

I've got just two left now. If anyone wants one, DM me and I'll put it aside.

Apparently it is 5 years ago that this snap I took came second in a photography competition.

I was in Venice for my dad's 70th birthday, and my brother and I went out in the middle of the night to get some decent long exposures without all the tourists. This was the best one.
