Building a clean energy economy can and should be a win-win for union autoworkers and automakers. This investment will create thousands of good-paying, union manufacturing jobs and retain even more—from Lansing, Michigan to Fort Valley, Georgia – by helping auto companies retool, reboot, and rehire in the same factories and communities. If the NY Times published its neurology doctor story knowing it would fuel misleading innuendo, as I'm now starting to believe, this is akin to the way the Murdoch family's Fox "News" behaves routinely.
This would transcend malpractice -- again, if what seems to be the case truly is the case -- into something deeply malevolent.

Rebecca Solnit’s piece in Saturday’s Guardian:
“[The MSM] have become a stampeding herd producing an avalanche of stories suggesting Biden is unfit, [...] They do this while ignoring something every scholar and critic of journalism knows well and every journalist should. As Nikole Hannah-Jones put it: ‘As media we consistently proclaim that we are just reporting the news when in fact we are driving it. What we cover, how we cover it, determines often what Americans think is important and how they perceive these issues yet we keep pretending it’s not so.’ They are not reporting that he is a loser; they are making him one.”

1) Assange is not my hero. Wikileaks did important work early on but it lost the high ground in 2015-16.
2) His imprisonment was an outrageous abuse, and he understandably took the deal.
3) The guilty plea will leave a sword hanging over ALL national security journalism going forward.
4) Maybe you don't think Biden will use this precedent to shut down vital investigations, but you can be absolutely certain that Trump would -- and so will future administration.
