If the NY Times published its neurology doctor story knowing it would fuel misleading innuendo, as I'm now starting to believe, this is akin to the way the Murdoch family's Fox "News" behaves routinely.

This would transcend malpractice -- again, if what seems to be the case truly is the case -- into something deeply malevolent.

The Times has long needed a public editor with the authority to demand answers -- which is the obvious reason why they ditched that job years ago.

@dangillmor

The NYT is part of the propaganda project to re-elect Trump

@dangillmor The New York Times needs to step aside for a younger, fitter, more coherent news source.

@soulexpress @dangillmor not jon stewwart though.

he's got terminal gen x brain. it's not boomer brain; it might even be worse.

@dangillmor This is the audience the Times is catering to these days. This was a response to the Parkinson’s story. As far as being a reliable source of news they are no better than NEWSMAX. #nytimes #usPolitics

@rob11563 @dangillmor

Would if I had one!

@darwinwoodka @rob11563 @dangillmor

Tempted to sign up for one just so I can cancel it. With feedback.

@rob11563
I hope that everyone is boycotting NYT and MSM in general.
I just gave someone a heads up that if you are continuing to play wordle, then they are still getting paid, and she got mad at me. 🤣
Then we parted ways...
@palin @rob11563 Cancelled Washington Post and New York Times a couple of years ago. No regrets. They are much worse now.
I unsubscribed to ABC yesterday. Their "breaking news" on the Parkinson's lie was the last straw.

@Barbramon1
At this point MSM... almost all of it, is powered by Putin/U.S. Ogliarch propaganda.
And they are the enemy.

Dear @dangillmor, someone (possibly you) alerted people to the purchase of NYT by someone of wealth and conservative leanings a while back. I would see the "Foxification" as a logical consequence. Kudos for calling it out. Thank you. - Jaime

I would have posted this to your site but declined for the same reason stated in my Wars and Peas response.

@dangillmor The Parkinsons story isn't strong enough to stand on its own.

A big-time reporter staked their reputation that Biden has Parkinsons and has been covering it up.

They were wrong.

@tob @dangillmor And this is why in the Sptphanopoulos interview, Joe didn't warm to the idea of yet another cognitive and neurological test...

@dangillmor

And what is even worse is that now, since the story has been debunked, the New York Times continues to push the narrative, irresponsibly implying that Biden's doctor is lying. This behavior smashes any possible excuse that it was an honest mistake.

@mastodonmigration

I think at this time we have to accept that our “News” media is no longer interested in the news but in perpetuating whatever stories they think will get them more clicks and more advertising dollars.

Journamism is dying, and journalists are helping to kill it.

@hector

Feel like it is even worse than that. Would say they are no longer interested in the truth, but in perpetrating whatever stories they think will influence public opinion toward their aims. They have forsaken reporting the news in favor of shaping the future.

@dangillmor

Sounds like they need to be sued.
