The request for sovereignty has led some individuals who assert their affection and esteem for our community to label us as terrorists. They seem to convincingly forget the events of 1984, in which thousands of Sikhs all over India were subjected to rape, torture and genocide at the hands of nationalist Hindu groups. These acts were never characterized as terrorism in India.

I'm a Sikh, and I've had enough of Twitter's biased approach! That's why I'm switching to Mastodon. Twitter has been censoring our voices, limiting our account reach, and giving an unfair advantage to Indian government-supported accounts. We deserve to be heard without restrictions. The accounts that speak the truth with reference have no reach.
