I can tell this is going to be met with immense praise.

The rollout of the new “super app” MAX is the latest step by Putin to tighten control over what can be seen and said online in Russia. “If you have a free internet where everyone can do what they want, for an authoritarian system that just doesn’t work,” said Philipp Dietrich, an expert on the Russian internet at the German Council on Foreign Relations. “So what you need to do is push users to domestic systems that you somehow can control.” https://www.nytimes.com/2025/10/21/world/europe/russia-max-app.html

With YouTube doing their automatic age restriction now might be a great time to give @invidious a look. They've made huge strides since I last had a look 2 years back and it's a really wonderful service. I've found all my YouTube wants are covered by my instance, and it's much more privacy respecting than what Google will give. It's only been a positive shift.

Today I've published a rather extensive look at Haven: Call of the King, for the PlayStation 2. Not quite as extensive as I was hoping but probably long enough I'm rather doubtful many are going to manage reading the entire thing.

Poking and Prodding Haven

Haven: Call of the King, or simply Haven, as I’ll refer to it, is a game developed by the British video-game development studio, Traveller’s Tales. It’s quite technically impressive, and certainly ambitious, as far as PlayStation 2 games go.
