Whenever I see a scan that my incoming mail includes an advertisement that the Post Office is hiring, I never receive it.

It's the only mail NEVER delievered 🤔

...except if it's about ourselves hiring. In that case, it won't make it to you.

#Proton gives you 5 GB cloud storage for free. BUT with a caveat. You have to do 3 tasks in the first 30 days after the registration of your account:
1. Create a folder or upload a file
2. Create a shared link
3. Create a recovery method

Now the thing is: if you start out with #mail you also have to make some tasks, but at first it’s not so clear that if you don’t complete them within 30days, you’re burned forever also, even if you start out with drive much later. No way you can get those 3GBs additionally for free.

True story from the perspective of a small group of ppl. to switch from #Dropbox #GoogleDrive etc.

today, i set up emacs gnus as mail client for my work email at microsoft outlook. an administrator of our microsoft-tenant had to approve my client-id and -secret beforehand.

- emacs mail reader: gnus (with some custom elisp)
- sasl plugin kdexoauth2 for cyrus sasl method
- pizauth as oauth2 daemon
- msmtp for smtp
- isync / mbsync for imap

my custom elisp code ensures that pizauth server is running; opens the approval-URL in my browser; and asks me if i have clicked the button in the browser, before it fetches the emails.

as a final step, i'm going to set up mu as gnus search backend. just like i do for my personal emails on my personal computer.
