It’s a fact that the UK’s #peatlands store more #carbon than all of the forests in the UK, France and Germany combined.

So imagine what could be achieved if we diverted the million of pounds given to grouse moors in subsidies to peatland restoration instead. #COP27 

@enviro The same is true I think for the wider debate about the need for a just and sustainable economic system. We should speak about the huge benefits it could bring to everyone, not just the "what we'd give up by not having 24/7 consumerism" stuff.
