Being on Mastodon is like arriving at a party and then finding all your favourite people are coming!
Look who else is here

Some days leave me uneasy. Done nothing wrong as such yet feel that nothing has landed right.
The only thing to do is eat French onion soup and watch undemanding television until equilibrium is restored.
Anyone else had a flat day?

Dredging up #3GoodThings
1. The French onion soup
2. First frost this morning
3. No voicemails

There's been some discussion here on toot.wales about having regular / themed hashtags, so I'm going to suggest / instigate a new one and see if we can get this to be a thing.

::draws back shiny curtain::

#DarllenDyddLlun (Monday reading - Welsh only hashtag at the moment, because I can't think of a good English equivalent, but the alliteration / cynghanedd is too good to miss. Open to suggestions though.)

Beth ydych chi'n darllen? What are you reading? Tell toot.wales about it.

If you see a toot like this one asking you to boost it (for whatever reason) maybe think twice and take a closer look to see how many times it’s already been boosted before you hit that boost button. Seriously, friends: this one’s been boosted 1.9k times — does it really need another boost from you??
For those new here (or just new to me) please check out my listing of the Christian presence on Mastodon and feel free to sign up to get yourself listed. FediChurch.blogspot.com

melancholia - Still life with teasel

#StillLife #teasel #nature

Let’s begin with a dangerous #prayer 🤲

Lord Jesus, You are the lead part in the story of my life. I’m sorry for thinking it’s all about me. I want to tell a better, braver, more colourful and compelling story. I want to live the kind of life that makes no sense at all unless You exist.

#pray #hope #Jesus #GodLovesYou #Lectio365

It's all a bit slow on here today. No one's fault. Thanks as ever to the administrators who are working hard to meet the new demands.
I'm feeling old (and frankly maybe too old) as I survey the learning curve needed to become a native speaker on this place and to understand its culture.
But still I'm glad to be here and very grateful to those whose work makes this place happen.
Some tidying up to go, but this year's #retreat icon is almost done. Sharing it now for Hilda-tide (she's variously celebrated yesterday, today and tomorrow!)
Image shows an almost finished icon of St Hilda
I’m still getting used to mastodon and I’m mostly looking for my old contacts and reading the lovely posts here and just getting a feel for how things are done here. I’m not posting a lot at the moment, but I’m sure once I get used to doing things differently, I will start posting. But so far it seems relaxed and friendly here with lots of familiar faces already and hopefully new, interesting people too!
