Saw folks defending slop code while belittling security and CVE concerns—not just security in general, but specifically mentioning CVEs vs shipping velocity—and two quotes popped into my head.

The second was of course Isaac Asimov's bit about "the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge" because it seems relevant.

but the FIRST was from Tron: "I fight for the users" because don't make me kick your ass.
