Can’t help but notice that when Twitter banned cross-linking certain social media sites it didn’t include Gab, Gettr, or Parler.
I feel like a lost voice here as an #IrishTraveller very little engagement ..

Bloomsbury Collections - Socialist Women and the Great War, 1914–21 - Protest, Revolution and Commemoration

Socialist Women and the Great War: Protest, Revolution and Commemoration, an open access book, is the first transnational study of left-wing women and socialist revolution during the First World War and its aftermath. Through a discussion of the key themes related to women and revolution, such as anti-militarism and violence, democracy and citizenship, and experience and life-writing, this book sheds new and necessary light on the everyday lives of socialist women in the early 20th century. The participants of the 1918-1919 revolutions in Europe, and the accompanying outbreaks of social unrest elsewhere in the world, have typically been portrayed as war-weary soldiers and suited committee delegates—in other words, as men. Exceptions like Rosa Luxemburg exist, but ordinary women are often cast as passive recipients of the vote. This is not true; rather, women were pivotal actors in the making, imagining, and remembering of the social and political upheavals of this

GETTR?

Just wondering - is anyone aware of a recent analysis of GETTR's reach *outside* the US? A number of #Irish #FarRight #AltRight individuals appear to have set up accounts, including the notorious former journalist posting and sharing increasingly batshit material (occult origins of Irish state, anyone?) However, a lot of engagement appears to be with US rather than #Irish users ... #IrishTwitter #MastoDaoine

What Fleeing Twitter Users Will—and Won’t—Find on Mastodon

It’s #FollowFriday so I hope folks utilize the hashtag to find my account here!
Give me a boost! Maybe if I can show some of the big accounts on Twitter that it’s possible to grow sizably and quickly here, too, they’ll migrate over!

This will hopefully give #Musk pause for thought, at least in #Ireland - although one welcome victory is no substitute for collective #organising

The danger of hashtags (especially on Twitter)

Just a quick reminder for any #IrishTwitter users commenting on #EastWall that if you oppose the people using a particular hashtag, repeating it - even to disagree - will amplify the message of the very people you're opposing #Dublin #FarRight #NoHate #MastoDaoine

A billionaire buys Twitter, fires most of its essential workers and allows the return of previously banned fascist voices to the forum. I would call that class warfare.
