have landed an interview for one of these roles tomorrow.
one of the temporary secondment roles as opposed to a full time position but it's a whole pay band higher and gives me opportunity to work as an insight analyst which will look good on the CV for trying to secure another position.
it's for 7 months, essentially providing paternity cover, but I'm not going to complain for some stability.

ok, this evening is a sumo evening.
it might be a bit of grass being greener on the other side but damn is Sumo just more pleasant to watch as a martial sport than boxing or UFC
no stupid press conferences, no setting up matches to ensure victories and pad records by the competitors, no moronic youtubers buying clout in the ring...
like I know there's going to be it's own drama and nonsense going on... but it's just so much less to deal with and you can just enjoy the graps 
currently applied to 5 other analyst roles in the company, because I'm on redundancy it becomes policy to fast track me to interviews if it looks like I'll be a good fit.
some of the roles are 12 month contracts as opposed to full time positions but they'll still look decent on the resume and put off the chaos for a bit longer.

so... I'm going to be buying a new bow riser at the end of this month. that's something I've been planning for a while and I'm not diverting that plan.
but I'm going to try that "pause" and reset as a drive to get this drilling process done.
I've set up a target on the back of my shed and I'm going to try and spend most evenings doing an hour of drill weather permitting.
