Hi all. I’m starting a discussion forum for human #migration and #mobility scholars in my region to encourage and support collaboration. (Btw, pls check out @Prof_Mirya ‘s MHAWS. I love its energy and purpose.)

I’m being pushed to use Facebook (puke), so I’m looking for alternatives. It should be good for collaboration, user-friendly, and private.

The list so far:

• Substack - can that be collaborative?
• Slack

Greg Abbot obviously does not believe that the immigrants, whose lives he screws with for fun, are human. No one who can detach themselves from the fact of the humanity of those migrants deserves to be in any position of power, at the very least. Using vulnerable humans as political stunts is the act of a psychopath.

It's not just that you have to use it or lose it. The flexible savings account is a regressive benefit that wastes time and money.

@58mph And furthermore, it's worth noting that because family reunification is primarily done via people who came in via the economic stream (which is highly selected on human capital characteristics) then we also see the family stream *also* see high human capital amongst the family migrants because human capital is correlated within families.
