Native apps on Android are consistently of a high quality, almost bordering on perfectionism

BTW having been an Android developer, I can tell you the drill is basically this:

*designer walks in, wearing a beret and carrying an iPhone and iPad, wearing an Apple Watch and Apple Shoes and stroking a mustache oiled with Apple Mustache Wax*

"Here are the comps for the iOS app which the team has painstakingly built. Please build an equivalent (ugh) Android version in 2 days."

@nolan we had that too. And then I requested that the designers started listening to the Android developers. In the end we had material designs and even modern UI for Windows. So, it can be done, but the default is indeed your picture 😃
@nolan
Lets all just take a moment and be in awe that software even works.
@Irick Hey I'm successfully listening to Rubber Soul, the UI is just a bit trippy which actually kinda fits
@nolan we hired a new Apple Watch-wearing UX designer who decried our app as "too Android-y"
@nick needs more rubber-band effects. Android can't be a real phone until it has rubber-band effects
