Wouldn't it better if you or someone else wrote this HTML header code and made an instance capable of being mobile compatible...

I personally don't believe in mobile sites, mobiles just should be able to run HTML site in a web browser...

or eventually having an app for communicating with a social network

Last standard that is really globally adopted is HTML 4.01 transitional combined with Javascript 1.1

@lambadalambda Yea - that has always been a frustrating issue I have had with Mastodon. all other Ostatus implementations don't do this.
