Unexpected treat from Euclid. Designed to capture billions of galaxies far away, Euclid turned and looked at our home for one day capturing millions of stars in the Milky Way. Makes me extra excited for the upcoming cosmology data!

Besides looking awesome the data will help scientist to look for exoplanets using microlensing, a general relativistic effect that shortly brightens a star when a planet passes in front of it by bending more light towards us.
