Anyone is/knows of a Japan-based illustrator with bandwidth for small commission work (details below).

The work (for now) is to draw up a set of hanafuda-inspired cards. Fairly simple graphics, but very specific style, reused in a number of combinations.
And yea, this is typically the kind of thing AI would do fairly well, but I'd much rather give work to a human and get human art out.
The most challenging part of writing "The Secret Life of Circuits" wasn't the writing process. It was crafting over 290 full-color illustrations of my own design.
