Coming up in #LibreOffice 26.8, our next major release (in August): Draft writing mode in Writer. This removes all other elements, letting you concentrate entirely on the text. Thanks to László Németh for implementing this feature! https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/26.8 #foss #openSource #freesoftware
@libreoffice
An libreoffice alternative for Excel power query would be extremly great.
@daschnott Hi! You can submit enhancement requests here: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org – But of course, we're a volunteer-driven project with very limited resources. To get a new feature more quickly, you can consider helping our volunteers, or funding a developer. Thank you ☺️👍

@libreoffice Hmm, I've been using a tool that does that already, it's called "emacs".

(Update: I do think that a "let me just write!" mode is a good thing. But over the decades I've gotten tired learning YAWOET - Yet Another Way Of Editing Text.)

@libreoffice the idea is good, but that looks terrible. Normal view is less cluttered and with more white space, the opposite of what it should be.
@audunmb @libreoffice It seems that is is not a more-comfortable-to-work-with-view; it just switches off all graphical elements and page properties which means lines get even longer and harder to read and there is less whitespace to guide the eye.
