Dear fellow musicians, I have a question There is this old Reaktor ensemble called "Ahrendees" that runs well with my sequencer but doesn't start and stop on a midi note.
How do I get it to do that? Thanks a lot.

To start and stop playback using a MIDI note, you must use Note On and Note Off messages rather than standard Transport Control messages.

Standard MIDI Start (0xFA) and MIDI Stop (0xFC) are System Real Time messages and cannot be directly mapped to a specific key on a keyboard.

So, first there is "clock" element with two connections going out. I could add a midi note and a midi gate but they have no input. Is there something like a merger, so I can fit those four into the next In?
Thank you.

@artnoir

Yes, you can use a MIDI Merger.

"A standard MIDI Thru box splits one input into identical copies, whereas a MIDI Merger combines multiple inputs (like your clock, note, and gate streams) into a single output".

Put perhaps the solution is via Sync (internal clock) through a PC or Mac, etc.. by a MIDI sound card, for example.

It's difficult to give a you a precise response without knowking what is exactly the chaining.

Thanks but I mean strictly inside of native instruments Reaktor, digitally, I'm looking to alter a software.
I'll have my caregiver take a photo.
@solarphasing
that was helpful

@artnoir

With pleasure. :0)

I'm not an expert at all, but I enjoy tinkering and finding solutions to device configuration problems. With MIDI, almost anything is possible. Sometimes it's just a matter of perspective.
