I created an account here back when I left Twitter. I bounced off it back then and I still have no idea how Mastodon “works”. Anyway I’m James A Pozenel Jr, creator of Netcrawl RPG (available at https://horsesharkgames.com), long time DCC RPG fan and Goodman Games freelancer. Talk to me if you want. #dcc #cyberpunk #ttrpg #gamepublisher #freelance #introduction

@lectrotext

Hi James. I would put 'hashtag' introduction in your post along with hashtags for your interests, and it will then be shared more and people of like interests can find you.

@lectrotext be the timeline you want to see. This will help you connect with others. Follow some hashtags and just be excellent to each other :)

@lectrotext

Hey James! Sporting the St. Pauli Shirt, I see. Nice.

Anyway, if you need or want help figuring this out, check out @FediTips. Iirc they’ve got tons of info. To find other folks with similar interests, follow hashtags like #dcc or #goodmangames, #ttrpg or whatever and follow people who post about those. You can put those in your profile info to help people find you, also.

So, what’s the story with the St. Pauli Shirt? Do you frequently visit Millerntor?

@Morgunin Back in the 90s I met a fellow from Hamburg who was working in the US. We had a numerous adventures in Detroit until he went back home. I’ve been following FCSP ever since. I’ve visited Millerntor several times since. I’ll be back in Hamburg again soon.

@lectrotext

That’s very cool. I had a friend who lived and worked right down the road. I used to visit him often. I’m not a big football fan, so I’ve just walked past the stadium, but it has a great vibe. Hamburg is a fantastic city.

@lectrotext

Hello Mr Pozenel, nice that you have come back here! 🙂

If you want any help about how this place works, please feel free to ask! There is also lots of non-technical help about how this place works on the website at https://fedi.tips

An unofficial guide to using Mastodon and the Fediverse

@lectrotext Hi! Nice to meet you here at the Fediverse.
@lectrotext welcome back to dice.camp!
@lectrotext Mastodon is fairly simple in practice: the more you interact with people, the more you will find your audience. There's no algorithm, so relying on one-sided communication will not do. 😅

Welcome! It’s always a treat to have more RPG writers around!

All you need to know about how Mastodon works --if you need to know at all – is that it is just like Twitter, except it also sends and receives posts to other websites – like if peoople on Facebook could follow your Twitter account, and if from Twittet you could have followed accounts on Tumblr. And that’s not just neat, but how it should have been from the beginning, if not for the different platforms fighting each other trying to own the internet.

@lectrotext also; St Pauli fan? 🐳
@greenWhale @Morgunin This specific shirt has the Gegen rechts logo on the back and translated to “Good night alt-right”. When FCSP played a friendly with Detroit City FC, the New York City supporter club made these shirts available at the game.
@lectrotext @Morgunin damn. That t-shirt has value then. 👌
@lectrotext Hi I'm Dak, and I'm a fan of your stuff.
@ReverendDak aw yeah! I’m your fan too!
@lectrotext Hi James, great beard!
@lectrotext Welcome (back). The beauty of here is no algorithm driving ragebait type behaviors. I recommend following some hashtags to start..!
