I'm getting mine as soon as possible. I don't care about the price. At this age I can afford to buy even if the price seems high to some.
I've been waiting for a product like this for so long. Steamdeck was almost there but I just don''t need the portability. SM to me is the best of all worlds, Console, PC and Linux, all in one unit. Couldn't be happier. 
dashTotally understandable, I'm also lucky enough to be able to buy tech on a whim. But despite this just being the 'new world' we're living in with storage prices due to the RAMpocalypse, you're just paying more for less.
You can get a better PC/mini PC for less than this, it just won't have the cube shape. Sadly the specs inside are just old now, and very much not going to look good two years down the track
