When people reach their early 40s, the gap between those who planned ahead and those who didn't starts to become really visible.
@anon_opin Or maybe those "who didn't plan ahead" have not had the opportunity or means to do so
@anon_opin Kinda snorting tea outta my nose here at the hilarious idea that planning is all you need in life and the only possible thing that goes wrong.
@anon_opin Planned for what?

@lunarloony @anon_opin having wealthy parents.

In almost every article about "ordinary" people retiring at 40, if you read the whole thing it turns out they inherited a house or apartment, lived rent free at their parents, or started something with a "small loan" from them. Never having a mortgage is a good plan, I admit that.
It's just that the requirements aren't available to most.

@anon_opin thanks for your opinion, Mrs Thatcher.
@anon_opin So glad that everyone hates this opinion! 🙂
@anon_opin Sounds like the person who sent this one in didn't plan ahead for the responses calling out this poorly thought-out mentality
